Born of Bread

Do you like Saturday morning cartoons and turn-based RPGs? Well then, keep an eye on Born of Bread! You play as a loaf of bread come to life on a school trip where zany adventures ensue. I cannot overstate how blown away we were playing this one. The art is so fluid and stylish that its only comparison was Paper Mario and the Origami King. This one’s impressive folks. Blade Assault

Blade Assault is a platformer beat-'em-up with upgradeable weapons and stats with rogue-lite runs. Tool yourself up and dive in! The enemies are tough as nails and the combat is fast and responsive. There have been other Mega Man style rogue games that felt sluggish, but Blade Assault keeps it moving and that’s why it’s on this list.

The Sky Beneath

Being able to shift gravity isn’t something new but in The Sky Beneath, you’re given a lot of fun personality to go along with it. You play as two sisters who are exploring the ruins of a destroyed civilization in hope of finding lost technology. The voice acting is promising and the gravity shifting mechanics are quick and easy to perform. Definitely worth looking out for.

Unsighted is a dark and mysterious indie filled with techno monsters and complex world design. Your hero has to make use of her quick dashes, sword, and pistol to solve puzzles and defeat giant mech beasts. For fans of Hyper Light Drifter, here’s your new fix.

Unbeatable

Unbeatable brings some fantastic J-Pop and J-Rock tunes with some kick-ass anime characters in this kick-ass rhythm fighter. Using DDR/Rockband style controls you fight off waves of enemies in time with catchy songs that will leave you humming for days after you’ve put the game down. The developers have released a fully-featured demo titled Unbeatable [White Label] that is currently still going so give this one a shot!
